Murray Bridge's new Pumper

G'day interstate counterparts,

Just thought you might like to know I saw Murray Bridge's new 'Type 2' Pumper looking pretty much completed through a garage door at SEM's (formerly Skilled Engineering) workshop in Wendouree (Ballarat) today.

p.s. For anyone who may be interested, I've put up an online stream of my scanner here in Ballarat. Still think theres other brigades out there who need one more than them, i mean why does the bridge need a third pump.

Anyway surley a 34P would be much more suited to them seeing the town is surrounded by a lot of rural area.

It isn't a third pump...it is a replacement for the temporary one they have now, which replaced the one that crashed...so they will end up with two appliances.....

there not getting a third pump as pip said... its too go there permanently and retire the old belair pumper which is a temporary replacement after there bingle....

they have predomianntly urban response area and go to a fair load of structure fires.  They need it more than Hahndorf did.

Salisbury dual respond to all... well most, urban jobs in there with an MFS pump.... i dont think it would be necessary. nice, but not necessary.

our pumper has been damaged in an accident, the drive threw it in reverse and hit a captain from a diff brigade's personal car, the pump is all bent and it leaks water from the main part of the pump

Much easier to justify a pumper for Murray bridge than for Sailsbury or Burnside!

At least Murray Bridge have large and expanding industry in their primary response area for which they are responsible! Their urban/industrial risks are increasing.

Interest thought, that we would put in a pumper primarily on the basis of supporting MFS - I guess they will be paying for it due to their inability to meet their communities requirements can the constant calls to CFS to provide that service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Type 2 Pumpers are built on an Isuzu FTR900 Turbo Cab Chassis :wink:

I dont think its fair that we comment on what did or didn't happen at the bridge,the brigade and its members have been through enough so lets drop it. as for them having a pumper,well the area is growing in size and industry so give it to them.Hope they enjoy the type two as they are a great appliances.....
