sounds nasty. had it been weakened heaps cause of the heat? i know bugger all about concrete, so pardon my insolence. note to self...stand well clear of concrete walls at structure fires.

Is not that uncommon. The concrete expands during the fire, busting the joins apart.... subsequently the walls fall over some time after....

sounds wicked safe. why the hell then do the military make bunkers out of concrete? wouldn't it be hell vulnerable to fire from missile explosions etc?

Guess 38 inches of concrete or more is more solid / durable than a wall on a building..


2 inches compared to 30 odd or more in a bomb shelter...
