We just wail our siren 3 times at 8:30 to state a tfb day. Not sure how many know what this means though.. We dont have signs.

Uh Sam did you know that 3 wails of a siren either signifies All Clear or More Crew needed not sure which one  :-)

Cause we came very close to using the 4 phase siren wail system during the Kalangadoo-Glencoe Road fire a few years ago as the fire at one stage was heading up Wepar road towards Kalangadoo

We have only had to use the first 2 phases a couple of times this season because of crew shortage

I know that your 3 siren wails on a Total Fire Ban day isnt harming anyone but bear in mind that it is apart of the 4 phase siren wail system which was developed during war times  :-D
