I think you're on to somethin Bill, I'm surprised he was still alive to put the apology over, but then again maybe they hauled him in an hog tied him to the computer and were torturing him as he sent the apology

Response messages coming to an MFS pager only come through on the normal tone for primary alarms. Not Tone 7 (emergency tone). The only ones that come through on Tone 7 are the ones with *cfsres from adelaide

So if it was an MFS pager then a midnight message like that might make ya jump out of bed and run

Oh right, yeah he just sent that so that no more bricks went through his windows LOL.......

That really windy day after the Willunga fire was contained, they kept sending pages about irrelevant stuff like the "cadet meeting is canceled", and the "leadership meeting is postponed" etc. and it comes through on the response line so it does scare the crap out of you...it isn't cool to do that when everyone is on edge like that....

CFS always say dont get complacent so what does the fire service it self do?? Gets complacent and lights lots of fires.....

So is this a project burn out of control? Or something else?

It doesn't work like that, the only way to have a message come through on tone 7 (or response tone) is to actually put CFSRES or URGMSG in the message, even if its sent on the info address it will still come through as tone 7. Unless you have your info tone set on tone 7, which if you do, then well, sucks to be you !!
