Bill and myself used to work out of the same ambulance centre at Unley, and for as long as I have known him he has had an ambulance radio in every car he's owned

DR1 was at his best again this morning, responding to a collapsed courier driver on Dequetteville Tce, god help us all when these guys eventually hangup the microphones, we can only pray that others follow in their footsteps :-)

I'd love to work as hard as what Bill does, if only I were as smart and talented as him in order to fill his boots :) To be honest though, I don't know what would make him retire, except the grave :P

And again, I reiterate, what I said is purely a joke, inspired by the Chuck Norris Facts. I told Bill that exact line too which he laughed at! I was thinking of making a Facebook fan page, but I thought it might be a bit too much :P

I should have clarified and said that SAAS medical officers have a DR callsign.
Am guessing that Uncle Hugh is DR1 and Bill is DR2 and maybe Evan is DR3..

From my south coast days, I think Lyn Gardiner (yankalilla) was DR9...

Happy to be corrected..

Dragging up an old topic I know, but did anyone see this one!?!

Yes- very lucky indeed, we had one of our firies go down at an RCR last year right in front of 2 ICP's needless to say if it had happened anywhere else he wouldnt have made it.  Some very lucky people out there and job well done.
