does anyone know when paradise will open and if they will have an open day? its fricken huge! I mean no where near as big as wakefield st but its pretty nice would love to look inside and see what appliances will be stationed there. prime location to have an opening fundraising bbq or something too (hint hint) everyone drives past there. I know i aint a firey but its pretty exciting! lol

It will be a 1 appliance station, it's going to replace Glynde so it will have their appliance.

A long while ago I heard a rumour that eventually a Northern Adelaide and a Southern Adelaide MFS command structure would be created. Rather than a single command structure from Wakefield St.

Would be interesting if this were to occur & maybe a large station north of the city is a step in the process...  :?

I believe a minimum of two bays is the standard these days guys, leaves room to expand.

This means they need sleeping quarters for eight, S/O's office for 2, gym, mess, rec room, training room, ammenities, secured parking.... probly doesnt take long for it too look large.

The only thing that has happened is the purchase of the house next door, but nothing on the actual building side of things.

Shame it kinda all happened so quiety its a big deal for samfs to open a new station. wheres the media, the family open day, balloons????

so glen osmond is getting a new one too? maybe some other stations could get a lick of paint and renovations happening!

Glen Osmond is as old as the old Glynde station, might even include St Marys in that.
Apart from these two stations most other stations are either new or not real old.

Does anyone know when Glen Osmond are going to get a new station?

Plans have been under way for a while, completion is due in the next financial year, on the same site as the current station
