Fire Jobs what a Gas
« on: December 15, 2007, 01:36:22 PM »
I am led to beleive there is a possiblity that there may be some positions going in Moomba for firefighters over the Xmas/New year period as they need some for a big shutdown of the Gas Processing plant. A good mate of mine is going up there for the work and has told me he will put my name down if he can.
The biggest mistake you can make is doing it wrong AGAIN!

Sounds like it would be some pretty good coin. Got any links for details?
To think they employed me as a drooling retard...

Mine is through Chubb - across the State different providers. I think Noarlunga do theirs with SAMFS. Its part of USAR as well as confine space rescue - which we are equipped for.
There is a lot of things you guys don't know about us
Like we stopped making sandwiches 3 years ago :-D - mmm Subway, Pizza Haven etc.
Like we have fire pumps, including flotation pumps and the gear that goes with them.
As I said come down and pay us a visit, you might be surprised what we have.
Oh by the way the National competency package I'm qualified in is from the Petroleum package - same one the gas fields use.
cheers

Hey Mundcfs, I work around the Moomba area on a drilling rig. Who is your mate that works there. If he is a firey in Moomba I may know him. I think there is only a few firefighters there, but I think they do 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

I work on a rig around Moomba (4 months) so when I am at work next week I might see if I can get to the Moomba firestation and see what goes on. I wouldnt mind getting a job with those guys. I have most qualifications needed and I have been in the CFS for a few years now.Does anyone know any more about fire fighters at Moomba.

I mean if I didnt work up here I would never have known they existed.
