The black rectangle part is a LED type diplay. For messages like `Recruiting Now` or `Change your smoke alarm battery` etc. not sure if it is connected up yet..

will be soon!  (just outside seafords.... lol)
You need to get a life outside of the CFS. Go outside, look around. I'm sure trailer parks smell lovely in the morning.

The LED sign would be good for displaying Fire Ban or High Fire Danger information.

For myself, the sign seem a bit 'over the top' and extravagant. But then CFS have multiple signage on Waymouth St building, MFS have a newer sign in Wakefield St & SES have sign-written shipping containers at LHQ's.

Someone justified the expenditure under Corporate Communications..

Our local publican is in the process of getting a huge LED sign to hang off the side of his pub over the main street. It will be used for beer specials etc. He has offered the use of the sign to us for use on fire ban days aswell. Now he just has to get council to approve it!

I print up my own Total Fire Ban signs and nail them to the wall of our fire station on fire ban days  :-)

Maybe I should apply for a job at BHP Roxby.

So what are your thoughts then jase? Does the problem relate to current brigade management, cause it would have been better in your day i'm sure.

Just my opinion.

I'm not going to go into past or present brigade politics on a forum, they are going along just fine now and don't really need people bagging them, its just not called for. As for a job as an eso give me your resume, we are looking for blokes at the moment.
