Howdy all,

Just wondering if any groups have received their new Nissan Navara Logistics Vehicles. If so, can you post some pics up of them.

Thanks in advance.

Have been told this or next month for ours, so i would say about september then :-D

The biggest problem I see with these vehicles if the foot room in the back seat.   While the aim of the vehicle is logistics, I can see it being used as a command vehicle...and the foot room in the back seat in minimal...

My brigade had a Toyota Hilux twin cab for many years...and half the brigade struggled to get into the back seat (legs too long & not very flexible!),  hence the truck became "the girls truck" because the female members of the brigade could get into the back seat more easily than the males !!

I believe the new Logistics vehicles would have a similar probelm     :-(

A real shortcoming of dual cabs to date.

The new Hiluxs are a hell of a lot better though. They're no cruiser/patrol wagon, but they've come a long way. Not sure about the new navaras & tritons.

In other words, it now seems possible to have a logistics dual cab capable of sticking 5 crew in for a reasonable drive

I haven't been in one of the new Hiluxes...ours was a 1985 model, with no foot room...!!

If the foot room issue was solved, then having a ute, with a canopy on the back might be very useful!

I had the chance to sit in the back of a new model Navara, it sure has more leg room than my old Hilux, but then I wasn't wearing my PPE at the time.

Its a logistics vehicle. If you need a comand car... get one... call in another groups if yours are all busy or tied up. Its not hard.

we have had times when those surrounding us were also busy, so when we started calling for extra vehicles from neighbouring Groups, they were all busy...    :-(

The plan from HQ, which I assume hasn't changed, was that each Group gets one Command Car & one Logistics vehicle...anything above that, the Group funds themselves....

Having less command cars available (if this plan is still current) will make it more difficult to work under our current structure...

Maybe those groups are funding for those logistics vehicles themselves?

Our group is getting to keep our car 2 because it was purchased by the gorup so now we have both the cars and the logistics (when it arrives) which shouldn't be too far away since it was with yorke valley's one....

In the pics i saw i didn't see any red and blues, do they come with them???

Does anyone have a photo yet ? I had a look on the 'CFS Promotions' website & could not find any...

I am interested because the SES might be issuing similar vehicles to the SES HQ Units has replacements to the existing utes.

Are the new CFS Logistics vehicles 4wd, diesel engines ?

Lofty group have got ours now.  Only couple of phone camera photos so far but signage will possibly change anyway.  Mundcfs yes it comes with lights, sirens, radios etc.  Bajdas they are 4WD Navara STX dualcab models, diesel and auto.
PS Pip the rego is XQN-606.

Onka group DGO now has the Logistics Vehicle (sorry pip forgot the rego; being late after training), so i dont know what happened to Car 2. Got a really good dashboard layout i think, but i think Headsets for the GRN radios is essential during some major incidents.

Hi Darius,
Just wondering on where the new logistics vehicle will be stored? Or is this going to be driven around by another GO/DGO?
