Metro SES delayed P1 response
« on: July 07, 2012, 02:02:32 PM »
I see it constantly from the metro ses units, that their priority 1 jobs seem to take a long time to get mobile,- In cfs, if the truck on the call out doesn't go mobile asap, they get defaulted automatically,

Metro ses units seem to take up to 20 mins to get mobile, they should have the same system and default automatically  to the next unit, cfs or mfs, or at least get the other unit/service mobile until they can get crew

Unusual Edinburgh SES were called to 'helicopter landing site' incident, given they are a non-RCR crew.

But then other services were responding to Structure Domestic @ Gawler East and 2 car MVA at Edinburgh (according to my reading of paging website)

Adelaide Fire also paged at the same time:

Depends on the reason for the page someone could have paged in after the truck had left which isn't unusual.

Metro units have 10 mins to be mobile for p1 tasks.

Sometimes that can cause issues as some units have poor Access and a bad light change or heavy traffic  can make you miss the time.  I'm not sure about other units but my unit generally has the first truck out the door in 5 to 8 minutes. Most cfs unit I seen seen't surrounded by traffic lights and main roads.
