Hope all those who have partaken in the flooding over the last couple of days get to dry out soon.

As they say these things always happen when its dark, cold, wet and windy.... without fail.

I hope the good people at the Brewery get the Xmas display fixed up in time for the season kickoff......

I didnt have a call all night but got a call to help with sandbagging at old noarlunga on tuesday morning. It seemed strange to be placing sandbags when the sun was shining. We even had a couple of guys take their shirts off.

Gawler River is still causing major headaches crews have been working since yesterday afternoon.

Para, Light, Angaston, Barossa, East Torrens, Lofty, Mallee, Swanport, and probably other groups have been involved so far.

To our understanding many homes are still under threat with operations continuing.

Went down to the Gawler River area yesterday as an SES Crew to help out.... Hats off to the CFS crews we worked with. For people that have 'never touched a sandbag in their lives' in their words.... a fantastic effort was put in (not to say that everyone else didnt of course)

Yes I Made The Long Trip Down To Two Wells Yesterday.  Good Fun Sand Bagging For Most Of The Day.

We Will See How It Goes Friday.  So Far From What I Saw Every One Has Done An Great Job.  Even The Mets Guys Were Down There Sand Bagging, Now That Was A Sight The Guys In Their Blues.

Yes My Fav Was The Cement Mixer, However One Of The Guys Went & Welded A Bag Holder Then We Just Scrape The Sand Out Of The Tip Truck Bucket Into The Bags.  It Was Not A Bad Design For What It Was & The Time We Had.  Lets Not Forget The Pallets & Traffic Cones.

Yes also made the looong trip down on Wednesday. Have to say the cement mixer was my favorite. The trip down was a hazardous but very lucky one with mundoo car2 Aldinga 24p Goolwa 34 Yank 24 and Compass A34 in convoy on Port Wakefield road a tree come down smashing the beacons and aeriel's on Mundoo car 2 and in no part some great evasive driving by the Aldinga B. 24p driver they only copped a smashed windscreen, but could have been a damned sight worse.

have heard similar stories around the place.. believe one of happy's trucks copped a tree to the cabin once on the fireground, and several others i forget about

Yes it was pretty lucky it was a two lane highway or could have been much worse, the guys and gal from aldinga took it pretty well but i still reckon there were a couple smelly people from that truck It wasn't the smallest of tree's either it nearly covered both northbound lanes of port wakefield road. And yes the e-flares were an interesting idea however it failed miserably
