It appears FESA in WA is in turmoil especially reading the recent WA fire report by Mick Kelty.

Appointing a Police Officer in charge of the WA Fire Services is another mistake by the WA government.

interesting choice to do a review. Mr Kelty didnt exactly cover himself in glory during his time as AFP Commish. Plenty in that organisationa are glad to see the back of him.

Having said that, your local Maccas drive thru chick could do a review on FESA and find the faults....pretty shabby organisation really - the only thing going for them was that they were paying well.

Many volunteers were not happy with a centralised organisation (FESA) for many years.

It will be interesting to watch the changes and how they handle the large distance, for the more remote from Perth, volunteers.

I am sure many in this state will be interested in how they re-organise to learn from the experience.
