I do agree in some ways.

Other members of the public listen im and im always told we should watch what we stay.  Including personal details about a person.  Or a death or even if a vollie is hurt... we shouldn't have to be watching who in the community is listening to us.

For all them people with scanners a pager site well too bad so sad...  i do see the other point of view this pager sites does help in the result of knows whats going on but maybe another service can come line letting people know of incidents in the area.. i know the CFS was looking at something on there website...

ufo8mycow, you are kidding aren't you....   :?

"I read about this"

If you are who I think you are, you certainly didn't "just read" about it.

Perhaps you could reveal you true identity to the rest of those on safirefighter, so they understand where you are coming from, because I, for one certainly don't

Two accounts  That's what I can confirm and you are not being truthful or open at all. In fact that article in my view is immature and irresponsible.

People would be wise to give this article the time it deserves, not much!

Plus also firefrog, being an administrator you are supposed to be neutral.   This act of posting is not professional....  If you want to have your opinion do it under a different username that doesn’t link you as admin.  Also when posting as Admin don’t hide behind your desk put your name to it.

kieran/shane/tone7/anon/ufo (and no doubt more) has enough personalities/aliases already what's the harm in one more?
PS. you're not achieving anything productive kieran by getting such a beatup load of old rubbish in the paper (think you could push any more "hot buttons"? terrorism my arse).

So Kieran, are you enjoying being a member of the local SES now?  Been to any of their calls lately - or making comments to the local paper on their behalf...?

You should know by now that the CFS grapevine is extensive - and just because people live hundreds of Km away, doesn't mean we have no idea of what is going on.

AS for the Administrator being neutral - I would hope that the Administrator jumps on anything inappropriate, regardless of who posts it......
