Considering Pt Wakefield road does not go to the south of Adelaide, I would hope whoever confirmed that call with SHQ checked the location.

I wonder why these 2 brigades were not responded at the same time, is there not procedures in place to say 2 brigades to every house fire. Obviously someone turned around and said respond another brigade to that...

bittenyakka

I believe in my group any house fire is 2nd alarm (i'll check tonight)

TillerMan

Yes sorry i should have said....Every house fire is 2 brigades no question and 1 has to be BA i was just thinking don't SOC know this.

Our group is like yours in some areas with limited water building fires are automatic 2nd alarms.

Camo

Flue Fires could only be a single brigade response?  and then due to crewing issues the GO might know about he then sent another brigade?

Alan (Big Al)

Considering this would have come through alerts the GO's should have been on the call with SOCC

i think you would find that SOCC now the SOPs... however if the call is on Alerts and someone tells the OCOs what the response is to be.. then thats that. OCOs dont hold the rank to tell them what to do...
