Excuse the Camera phone quality, but you can see I was close :) I was driving by as smoke started appearing.

I heard radio traffic regards threat of south & north wall collapse.
Was that a precaution or a strong possibility, given you were close early on ?

Yes

Stirling to 44 Glen Osmond
Tea Tree Gully initially to 30 then got a call then went on to 37 Prospect
Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you.

your correct in saying eden could go to st marys bill, theyre the set CFS COQ for there.

but apparently MFS still had enough appliances to go there.. im sure if the fire had gone fourth alarm, wud have been a very differant story, but apparently they could still stretch there own resources to cover. for quite a while 321 was in 40, and even got a call to respond with eden to a reported stobie alight during that time..

The jet from the bronto looks a bit weak... Is that the best it can get, or would they have just been taking it easy?

mack

know for a fact they can get a lot better than that, so maybe they were just lobbing it in gently...?

on the other hand, i spoke to one of the DOs that was there the other night, and he mentioned that they were having some issues with the amount of water they could get there hands on.... maybe this had an impact on it>
