I struggle to work out how that should be a group info page..  - I could understand the individual station and a GO page, but a page to the whole group I believe is un-necessary..  If it was deemed absolutely necessary then maybe the GO can make the decision to inform the group..

If I got group pages every second day informing me of a brigades vehicle being offline (particularly if that brigade was on the other side of the group) .. I would end up throwing my pager in the bin !

I just found it amusing that their new baby is out of action....

Mc Flat and Kangy both send out group info pages when their trucks are out of action

Yeah, thats what I can't work out.. Why hassle the few hundred vollies in that group when a single page can be sent to the GO.. Maybe on a TFB if he decides it is relevant he can page who he see's fit.. ??

Too many trigger happy pager addicts !

Believe it or not it is handy to know if your an officer when you get a job and may require there assistance esspecialy during bushfire season, you know not to respond them but the next brigade in the response plans.

I don't think 200 odd members of the group need to be bothered with the fact..

But, people may agree or disagree.. however I have seen such pager messages at 8 o'clock on a sunday morning before.. Quite frankly that would give me the sheits !

isn't it mclaren vale that have the new baby cheech? From memory (which could be wrong) mclaren flat have an old hino gt as their 34

Mc Laren Flat 34 is an Isuzu from one of the previous builds. It is handy for officers from other brigades to know what resources are available for back up. The GO doesnt go to every call does he/she.

Hey Pixie,

You are getting confused McLaren Flat is an Isuzu and McLaren Vale's new baby is a Hino 34.

And ath the above applies....McLaren Vale 34 is a new Hino

He/she should be aware of all movements with appliances within the group.

I would think that all GOs would, its just sometimes they dont pass that info on when you get a job and want backup asap.

Then thats the problem that needs to be rectified.. Not paging 200 CFS members at 8 in the morning advising of a brigade's truck travels for the day...

All 3 brigades would all be primary responses to. We had 22 of them here. Should have listed it as 22 calls..Boost the stats.
