Cool burns are not good for the bush, most burns are undertaken to try recreate a natural occurring Bushfire for ecological reason. People need to remember DEWNR are under instruction from ministers to burn 5% of the parks within SA, each burn season which is a short window of opportunity. Burns will always escape, not just DEWNR's. So before people make uneducated comments, check your facts are correct.

Well not much is really going to change... MFS comcen handle it anyway until vols arrive an hour or so later... Then only to find the event is over, I know some event can be long duration, but they will just recall staff.

I can see the point that RAA and UNISA are making, when the speed limit is reduced by roadworks they have to use advanced warning signs, so say it was a normal 80 km/h speed zone the advanced warning signs would have to be nearly one kilometer from the workzone.

We have to be sensible about this law and not say well if it is good enough for roadworkers it's good for us... Well it's not, since we can not give motorist advanced warning, all we are doing is creating more danger to the public and ourselves.

We all know not everyone drives to the conditions and so forth, lets stick with what we have, 40km/h is good and but needs to be enforced more by SAPOL.

well I do stand corrected, thanks for clearing that up Mr T.
