Its definitely about what perception he gives. Unless he has an ID of SAAS, SES, CFS, MFS or SAPOL he is hindering. I would suggest perhaps pass the details up your food chain and they can raise with whoever they liaise with from SAPOL about local issues. Or contact me off group.

All Paramedics can provide morphine or Fentanyl. There are a few Doctors who are vollys in their spare time and can apply for authority to give the same. My understanding is they still consult as well.

Medstar are paged for netcalls, often for taskings and some times given SITREPs via pager if they are in the air between Adelaide and the location they should be at.

They do not come up on the pager feeds that are public probably because the owner of the feed has not added the pager codes to their filter or because they feel there is not a large public interest in having those message on the net. I think its a fair call as often someone that is being retrieved is at their most vulnerable and really does not need to be public knowledge.

Cat7 is used as an administration code to record the movement of a Crew to a location. Eg Its used for a crew to goto Fulham (Fleet Services) to pick up a new fleet, call into HQ to see someone/interview or to return to a hospital to finish paperwork off from a previous case. Sometimes they will resume quickly so they can pick up another Cat1 or Cat2 job because no one else is going to be available.

If I may, I'll add some info on this point. Not quite.

They don't necessary have to be caught in the act. If Police have statements from a witness identifying a person and enquiries/investigation can put that person at the scene and there is enough evidence, either circumstantial, forensic or witness accounts that can be tendered in court a person can be charged with the offence. The offence comes under the Criminal Law Consolidation Act. Refer to sections:

85—Damaging property
85B—Special provision for causing a bushfire

A copy of the act can be found at legislation.sa.gov.au
