I actually haven't been interviewed yet. I'm one of the candidates that passed the pat 1 and got told I was in the pool to be called up for an interview in the future if required.

Hence why I'm curious to see why they're doing more beep tests if some of us have passed the beep test and still not heard a thing further.

There are still a few people in the interview pool though. And if they have the beep test in December for a course starting in Jan, that surely isn't enough time.

Haven't heard any rumours of what's to happen with the rest of the interview pool have you?

I believe there was ~180 candidates that passed PAT 1, 50 were interviewed before Christmas and ~130 told they are in the future interview pool. I'm in the interview pool. I think there's only a few over 20 or 30 left in the pool isn't there? That's what I heard.

I'd say it's not looking great for us but if we were to hear would it possibly be after the 3rd squad has started?

I have just assumed that at least 36 of those 50 are going to get jobs. I'm one of those in the interview pool so I've got my fingers crossed that we all get the call up to come in for an interview.

For those doing the interview, are all 50 people ranked from 1 - 50 no matter what? Even if some people interview awfully, will they still remain in the top 50 or will they get rejected?

And for those that have done the interview this week, how'd you go? Any indication of when your PAT 2 will be?

I see. Yea, very unfortunate to miss out when you're that close to the end.

It does sound like most people are passing. And as for the interview times, I'd like to think we'd find out by the end of this week, but I guess we'll just keep checking our emails very very regularly.

For those that have now done the beep test, how did everyone in your group go?

I had 2 groups of 5 people running, and of the 10 total, 1 person failed.

I have my test Tuesday afternoon and I've only heard of people doing the test on this day too.

I applied on the Monday that it opened, heard back on the Friday, did my payment the following day and then got invited to do my test 4 days after that. So from time of application to assessment date is 15 days.

I don't think there's any reason to stress, they seem to be going through these quite quick, I'm sure you'll hear soon.

Got my payment acceptance email, test is next week.

I got my email asking for payment on Friday, and a friend of mine got his yesterday. He did the online application a day after I did, so it seems like they're going through them in order of who applied, could just be a coincidence though.

I don't suppose anyone knows when they intend to start the aptitude tests?

Quite different application setup from last time. This is my second time round and since you don't need a truck license anymore I'm curious as to how many applications they're actually going to get.

I know that there are quite a few people in the MFS that used to work for SAPOL.

I was wandering if anyone had any thoughts that they'd care to share on that? Was it a good job? Did you enjoy it or not and would you recommend it?

I mean it couldn't have been too fabulous if you are now in the fireys, but please do share. :)

I'd like to get as much information as possible, so if anyone has anything to contribute, please do.

Ah well first time, was a good experience, plus I am only 21 so I got many more years to try get in!

Might try SAPOL, or at the very least do some research into it and go for MFS next time they open applications.

It's just interesting that it was two weeks ago they updated the dates which included the interview start date one week forward.

That is not what I want to hear. Surely someone on here would've heard something if that was the case.
