Is it still a waste of money of it saves a life (or 6)?
Not saying its a bad thing, but again we mask the true cost of the CFS

If SMD 1 is performed correctly the halo system isn't needed...
Have u tested that personally baggy? I would rather be crammed in a single cab with a deluge than on the back with a couple sidelines hoping for the best
It's a safety improvement to the vehicle.
It's a good thing.
End of story really....
agree with Alex.
On the other hand, reading the detailed report of the Linton "incident"
would have me rather be on the deck with sidelines & fire blanket than in the
cab with halo, hope & not much else...

doesnt a correctly done SMD 1 have the same outcome as a halo system on a single cab appliance.
Good luck cramming 6 personnel in a single cab and all be down as close to the floor as possible
End of the day good luck to the brigade for having a source of funding and this being the way the brigade chose to spend it.
Just because i dont agree with it doesnt make it wrong :-)
I say well done to CFS and the government getting another freebie

Doesn't the halo cover the back seats as well?

If we're not in the wrong place, at the wrong time, SMD's 1 and 2 aren't needed.
