I heard that 203 is off to Pt Lincoln as there old jets engine through a piston through the block and samfs are writing it off so they will be getting 203 until there new bronto is operational???
When did this happen, 203 has been missing for months, so goodness knows. Last time I was at work 543 was still on the run, so this must be a very very recent development.
wow what a surprise....a skyjet just broke!!????
The last one whyalla had lost a rear axle when it returned to metro.....what a lark!
Or maybe it's just consistency??
Well it hasn't happened as yet, Pt Lincoln are running Fleet 142, but I guess when 203 is eventually repaired it will head over. Seems to be taking a while.
Ah yes the old truck that lost its axle, just remember where the current booms come from, yes those 30 year old ACCO's, maybe the curse continues. Although most of the guys at work who talk about Skyjets would love the old ACCO's back, they were slow, but reliable (or maybe that's nostalgia speaking). They all say "why didn't they stick them on Scania's" but anyway.
It's interesting how they say they couldn't have a skyjet on the scania because of clearance issues, but hey they'll put a bronto on one so....
I find scanias are the best truck followed by the current volvo in all aspects-reliable, quick, quiet and a good ride(202).
The internationals were crap-all sound-no go and felt like there was no suspension in it!.
But at least the ACCO's put in an appearance in the station, when was the last time 203 was on the run ? They are constantly offline.
But then again the skyjet is a merc.
