According to all reports the 'rain is coming'. Along with wind & thunderstorms.
So with many fire bans & some standbys being activated, I thought we could capture where rain falls & any damage caused in one thread.

It's been raining at my place in the Adelaide Hills since lunchtime.....nice & steady.

Rain started falling about 1030am in outer south metro. Raining steady throughout the metro area since.
At about 1600, the wind has become stronger with gusts.
SES website saying 6 jobs as at 1615 today
MFS website stating 34 jobs
CFS website stating 17 jobs
Heard on ABC 891 radio that Seaford High had a HazMat response.

2 staff admitted to hospital with breathing difficulties, caused by a cleaning chemical. :wink:

We have had 25mm of rain out at hynam and its still blowing a gale, Naracoorte have been busy with 3 tree jobs....
As of yesterday arvo, I've had 82mm rain at my place since Thursday...and no trees down in the area!

Fantastic if this is enough to build sub-soil moisture. Hopefully they will get followup rains in a few months. What area of the state is this ?
Who has rain water tanks & how much water has been captured in the past few days ?
I only have buckets & eskys along the edge of a garden shed roof (renting the house so I cannot construct a better system). But have captured & stored approx 100 litres.

Ahhhh, but the grog is in the fridge so the labels don't get wet :mrgreen: They keep the food cold when the house looses power..... :lol:
well i had about 150mm of rain and i believe all 3 tanks 6000gal are full
