So are the comps on this year?? if so where and when?? I did hear and I hope its a joke that the brigade that wins will get a NEW APPLIANCE for their brigade..have the comps people gone MAD or is this a joke??
Sounds like a better system of appliance distribution than the current one!
Sounds like a great idea. Would solve the lack of interest problems. :P
yeh bill, and didnt you hear
second place; brand new set of RIG
third place; a pair of gas tights...
we're entering for sure.

Funny I always thought it went like
3rd place $1,000,000 dollars
2nd place a cake baked by mrs ghandi
1st place ....well you all know the last one! :-D
Bill
have a think about what you have said. as if the CFS would give you a new appliance for winning a simple competition. Trucks where expensive to build last time i checked.

I realise sarcasm can be hard to read but even i saw that one!
Yep think someone may have placed bills' hand on it with that one.
From someone who is on the comps committee first price will be new appliance like a 14 for the winning team, they are looking at ways of getting more brigade's to attend and take part on the day. I guess what and see if it gets up and running, would rather see the winning team win cash.....
Think someone is having you on Bill! There is too many reasons why that wouldnt work
Was at a meeting were Euan stated that "one of the ideas they were looking at was a new truck for the winning team".
It does seem a bit ridiculous that there are brigades that run hundreds of jobs a year, in damm near 20 year old appliances and yet they are "thinking" of giving a new appliance to the winning team, in the "great raffle of India" GO FIGURE :|
I was at a meeting where Euan said exactly that. Maybe we were at the same one jaff?
See I was Right, and from what has been said over the past few months the appliance will be a 14 unit,Why have we gone down this path when we have brigade's and groups that have appliances that are well past their use by date. Why can't we just give them money and a trophy?? Better still take on a bigger sponsorship of the comps from private company's that have money to donate to such events...
I can see it now the SACFS comps sponsored by the best pale ale around... COOPERS....

Maybe a COOPERS stocked Temprite, fitted to the winning teams appliance.........now where can we stow the pint glasses? 8-)
So when and where are these comps to be held?
