Hey All, apart from SEM, Mills Tui and a mob in WA (cant think of there name at the minute) does anyone know who builds appliances in oz.
Moore Engineering at Murray Bridge, Varley (building the current 34 /34P's for CFS)
The WA lot is WA Fire Appliances
There are a number of other around the place.....just not sure who they are!!

Liquip, Queensland ;) they made some decent pumpers recently for Queensland Fire and rescue.
Mob in NZ.. - Make some excellent appliances!
Liquip has also built a number of recent South Australian appliances which look pretty good...

prob Frazer Fire & Rescue you're talking about. Not sure what Mills-Tui NZ (the origional Burnside Pumper builders) are doing with themselves anymore...
TASSIE fire service make some great appliances,there is also McDonald johnson in NSW who have made a few for the CFA over the years....
I agree, Tassie are top notch in quailty..from photo's ;)
who ever built last years trucks should be scrubbed from list anyway lol :-D
Which appliances are you talking about?? if its the 34p that sat at north east for almost 16 months then I would guess they may not get any more work...

That would be Mills-Tui? Some of those 34P's still havent made it to their designated brigades yet. :|

Emergency Transport Technology build the SAAS units :wink:
Sorry ETT only produced a small number of emergency ambulances for SAAS during the inception of the 312 Sprinter (early model with square headlights), and the ATS fleet.
All current model ambulances are manufactured by Mader.

Its a great book on fire fighting evolution from bucket chains to now. Also has a comprehensive listing of appliance manufacturers from around the world.
I think theres only two or three manufacturers mentioned by SA Firey that arent in the book. I got mine for about $40 from angus and robertson...
