I drove past Beulah Park stn today and there was a fire truck nestled in there. Possibly Glynde's appliance running out of the new station?
first official shift for stn21 today
I thought Burnside would have been officially notified of this ?? Especially since some changes have now been made to BOMS in regards to your dual response area.
At this stage one truck from Glynde to Beulah Park and an Oakden truck to Glynde, apparently the government have given in and are now supplying an extra truck and crew for this station.
Will it take 2 years to come on the run like st mary's new one :-D
So the UFU didnt quite get what they wanted then?
UFU and minister thrashed out an agreement, common sense prevails at last!
Big Al
You the tosser who has slagged off at the SAMFS over recent years?
You sound bitter and twisted, just anoyher wanna be eh!
Driven any trucks into the Murray latley?
Slagged of the mets no not me. I've never had a bad experience working with the local retained guys down here.
Mets wannabe no not that either! was just making a silly joke, you know one of those pointless posts on this forum (hence the smiley face).
And as for bitter and twisted, only at you for being such a w.anker
Ease up crikey. Harmless tongue in cheek remark - even i can see that.
BOUT TIME WE HAD A GOOD STOUSH OF NAME CALLING, BITCHING, WHINGING - WHINING BACKSTABBING AND GENERALLY SLAGGING EACH OTHER OFF!!!
it's been too long....
[sob sniff snort]
keep up the good work boys.....
Apologies to Big AL, had you confused with a little twit from Goolwa way, who got under my skin a few years back.
Im not looking to "stir the pot", but get particularly annoyed at some of the CFS and anti SAMFS views being expressed without a right of reply.

There a several SAMFS stations using GRN pagers for the Station Officers.

Beulah Park has the pager.

Yep.. got the picture.. Beulah park are turning out to calls now..
What a good thing!
Better fire service coverage for Adelaide, ensuring that SAMFS can meet the national bench market standard of eight minutes coverage. Now the other few holes in metropolitan Adelaide might also be able to be filled - future planning :-)
Crews for the new Beulah Park Station are coming from the next drill squad
All of them? Perhaps the silver axe gets the Red helmet?
Good work Red Message, 4 shifts of people that have never set foot in a fire station before. :-D Who gets to be the senior man ?
I'm sure SA Firey meant that the next drill squad would fill positions to allow required crewing (without boatloads of O/T) at Beulah Park.
... at least I hope he did!
Obviously the drill squad will not man Beulah Park that is a given. The announcement was that there will be another drill squad this year with the numbers to make up for crewing at the new station. So obviously each shift will consist of Station officer, Senior and firefighters. I guess expressions of interest will be sought from staff at other stations and the recruits will slot in to fill the void at those stations.
End result everyone wins and there is an additional appliance on the run.
I read it as those recruits would be there.. Thought SAFIREY must know something everyone else didn't?
Although I do like the idea of a station manned with nothing but recruits.
Thats a given, I was just having a laugh
