Title: Canadian FF looking to do Exchange
Post by: Knighter213 on January 16, 2008, 09:23:04 AM
Hey all,

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.

I'm A firefighter of 6 years in Winnipeg,Canada, and I really want to do an Exchange for a year, as does a buddy of mine who's also been on 6 years.  If this is possible and you are interested, let me know.  I really hope this is possible!

Thanks and stay safe!

Tell us more - what kind of stuff do you want to get into over here? Structure or bush fire? Road crash rescue? Hazmat? I'd head to a brigade with a huge number of calls in what you want to do and just sign up as a vollie! Or do you want a paid transfer? Not sure MFS could organise it, but someone might be keen if skills/training can be transferred - try HQ.

If you want to do an exchange, I'd suggest you get in contact with one of the paid/full time fire services in Australia.

Adelaide - http://www.samfs.sa.gov.au

Melbourne - http://www.mfb.org.au/

Sydney - http://www.fire.nsw.gov.au

Brisbane - http://www.fire.qld.gov.au/

These would be your best bet.

Goodluck!
