I heard a whisper that Aldgate is going to merge with Bridgewater and that is the reason Bridgy has installed a new fence around their station.Originally Aldgate were to get a new station, but the land is to be sold. With the money from that they will build an addition to make Bridgwater even bigger to house Aldgates two appliances. The fencing will temporarily be used to store their vehicles and BW 14 is to go due to age, freeing up one bay while the other will be built next door with an opening to the rear area?
Can anyone deny or confirm this or is my source pulling my leg? Wow I thought that station was huge already!
A better idea would be to sell Bridgewater Station. And leave it at that.
smells like fertiliser to me....

Sounds like someone doesnt like Bridgewater then?
It had to happen sooner or later and I would say this is only the begining if its true???? nice way to get a newish station....
Been there, discussed that, got the outcome.
It was initially discussed years ago that Aldgate and Stirling would merge. Zip came of that as there was outcry on both sides.
I highly doubt that this Bridgie/Aldgate story has any validity.
I remember when that talk of a merger was doing the rounds, but Aldgate Station's land was bequeathed to them years ago, and not the council or government's so I dont think they would move in a hurry.
I think that someone is having a lend :-D
Don't think so when the new station for aldgate is starting to be built.
The reason the fence is at bridgewater is for the drive thru bottle shop :-D
I would think more rumours will do the rounds while the SAFECOM stats are shown to each service. Personally, lets see what is proposed before jumping to conclusions. Rumours never help decision making...

What an excellent idea !
A drive-thru bottle shop would be a nifty fund-raiser.
Will have to start measuring up the car-park at my own station.
Which franchise would see best returns to the brigade?
BWS, Liquorland, or Cellarbrations? :-P

Stuff the profits....this would become an expense in the budget as people I know would drink the profits.....what a great way to recruit new volunteers....
