Correct SES is on the right :-D
Not for long...
The local council has requested the heritage buildings back that SES use on the other side of the road for Operations, Training room, crew room, etc.
So land has finally been agreed and allocated to move SES Tea Tree Gully Unit from its current location. I understand that building will commence shortly.
The SES Dog Unit is still looking for suitable premises.
The Engine bay will soon take on a new appearance so that Tea Tree Gully's new 34P will fit under the roller doors. With SES leaving there will be less doors but wider and higher.

A bit move room to move. You'd have to love that?
There has been talk of the SES moving out of there for years...
For a brigade that does like 200 odd calls that is a pretty cruddy lookin station.

Looks can be deceiving. It beats a tin shed by a mile.
Its nice on the inside, compared to a lot of other stations. Large meeting area, radio room, two offices, equipment room and toilets and a shower. Plus it has been there for a long time before the second world war, back then it was just a tin shed.
The boys are fairly happy there new 34P, 14 CAFs, 24 approx ten years old and a fairly new Nissan Patrol.
Plus two pubs just across the road!
Ahhhh thats good to know two pubs around the corner for a good training session

Waht arer you going to use the old SES rooms for? Would make a good crew area.
It's been along time since Iv'e been in the Gully station (13 years). Does anyone know if the star logo in the floor of the meeting room is still there. It was put in by one of the brigade members around 1990 when the extensions were done.
The CFS star (the real logo that means something to fire fighters) is still there and will always be! I think the SES rooms on the end have had it, I'm not sure so dont quote me so not sure what is happening there have not kept up with what is going on there.
