Hey
I was jsut wondering if CFS Cadets can attend the Royal Adelaide Show on the
stand thing the CFS sets up
Thanks
I would say contact your brigade/group cadet officer/leader and ask them to chase up with the region,I cant see a problem and it sure would help those young members who are looking at joining a community service.
Cadets can usually come to the royal show. Well at least they have in the past.
But from what i heard at the end of last years royal show, the CFS arent doing anything this year. But I am not 100% certain on that, for all I know they may have changed their mind
Rumour I have heard is that the display stand will be for all three services co-ordinated by SAFECOM.
Nominations for the SES volunteer rescue & operations crew at the Royal Adelaide Show are due in on 17th August. A crew will be at the showgrounds from incidents from 0830 to 2230 each day.
I understand that a SES display site will be in the same location at the showgrounds.
This is the same as previous years.
In response to the questions posted above, Yes CFS are doing a static display based around the fire danger season campaign of Bushfire Ready and yes Cadets are able to participate.
The display is a CFS only display and is being organised by CFS Public Affairs. The registration of interest has only just been sent out and has been posted on this website under General > Country Fire Service.
