It's replacing the 12 for now, the Pumper is still online.
where is the 12 to going???
What is the outlook for Stirling anyway?
The tanker is 20? the 12 is 20ish? the 24 is 15ish?
What will happen when these trucks dissappear? will they be replaced or will they get merged into one appliance?
Stirling Pumper, Stirling 34P, Stirling 34 & Tanker?
or
Pumper & 34P?
Pumper will become a rescue, 34p will become Hazmat and replace 12 and 24 will stay for 5 years and the tanker may or may not be replaced. I think. Whey will loose the 12 and rescue.

To the mechanic for clutch / gear box repairs.

No, the 12 will be replaced with a 34P Hazmat. They will only lose the rescue.
So it will be Pumper (rescue), 34P (Hazmat), 24/34 & maybe tanker?
Nothing is ever certain in the CFS, but that fleet would make the most sense...
To the boys at stirling, make nsure you prime the pump as soon as possible after starting, preferably before... it has an intermitent propblem where it gets an air lock in the pump... im nots sure if it still has the note up on the crew deck saying that... any other questions just ask!!
ps. Road crash, i thinbk you have the wrong thread.
So the girls at Stirling can ignore that email, and not worry about checking the prime.... ?
Pip
have fun with the 24p guys
One would hope that these problems with the 24p where fixed before it went to striling???
Did they Put STIRLING on the side or will we be able to make a photographic journal of the journeys of SEAFORD24P
You would hope...
I'm still trying to work out what "must fear" ??
(Fire dragons sig under avatar)..

It still says Seaford. This is not a permanent replacement, just temporary while other trucks are offline. :)
sorry pip
i dont think the problem with the priming would have been fixed, as it took over 6 weeks to get it fixed in the first instance, and it still had probs. if anyone can get pics of it lined up with all of stirlings other appliances it would be cool,
it is a good truck, it was just a bit slow... and the lack of dual cab annoyed people (the dennis is better )
It's OK Pixie...I forgive you :-D
resucehazmat is that better

Since when has any fleet decisions in the CFS made sense?
A lot of decisions have ranged from the bizarre to the preposterous.

True, but a lot of fleet options are quite limited by the budget we're given, though some don't make sense, best we can do is our job with what we have...

The actual fleet might be determined by budget, but the allocation of it seems to be determined by egotism and bias rather than anything tangible like response statistics or risk assessment. This is not the way a fire service should be run!

You are spot on there. One of my biggest frustrations is seeing brigades that have huge areas and large industrial risks left with ageing outdated appliances, mean while brigades with little area and very few significant risks get new appliances as often as they please. The reasons for this are well concealed but obvious to those in the know.
Stirling 12 was outside their station tonight.

Correct. Stirling 12 now back online, Stirling Pumper offline (replaced by Seaford 24P) for repairs.
so is it still badge seaford 24p or has that change. due to we are voting on the dennis next week so if we dont what the dennis we get 24p back....
Did the Dennis get used at the Commercial fire at Morphet Vale this morning??? If so how did it go, and how do you rate the appliance Firedragon??
unfortunately was wasnt at the fire this morning. but the pumper did go by all reports she went great.we really havnt had a good fire in the area to test her abilities yet....

Vote 1 Dennis :-D
Seaford keep the Dennis and Stirling get their pumper back Who gets the 24p?
Yahl :-P
nah thats too good for them....what happened to the bucket of bolts that was at woodside?
What do you mean its to good for us camo? What bucket of bolts at Woodside?
I think (hope) camo is refering to 24P going to YAHL with his too good comment...
The dennis went to the commercial fire this morn, but didnt get used like i would have liked it to... as we were on the second response, the fire was contained by the time we got there. The BA seats came in handy for our opperators...its great when you can tell the METS guys that you have BA crew donned up ready to go before your crew even get off the truck...
I vote dennis...
Im surprised happys wern't called for the ICA fire this morning though, as the would be a similar distance as us, and also have an urban pumper...
I think the bucket of bolts camo may be referring to is their 24? Maybe?
ok, perhaps not.
Yes i was referring to yahl and woodside 24... and connecting the two

Isn't that MFS area though? (The ICA job)..
- BA in the seats are extremely handy.. The few seconds it takes for (even a highly trained operator) to throw on a set/ Don once on scene, can be a cricual few seconds.. (or in some unfortunate cases, minutes..)
CAD will sort out who goes to these jobs and who is closer, also may only send pumpers to a job like this.
So boys are you keeping the Dennis :-D
at this stage yes just now waiting for region to fix some little prob it has. then we will sign off on it
Is this a typo or is there a spare 24P floating around? Is it Seafords?

Early sunday morning typo?
The bucket of bolts at Woodside is now at stc I think, CFS changed over cab/chassis with original deck, truck is performing ok now, although a new 34 is expected next year, but you all know you only believe it when its in station with your respective brigades name on the side.

Not the old Seaford, i beleive the truck in reference is the region 2 spare, ex McLaren Vale 24.
The pumper was outside the station in the horrible rain looking very cold 5 minutes ago.
