Title: Commercial fire at St Marys

As at 13:15pm I can see a large amount of black smoke higher than the city buildings. I am viewing the smoke from a city building on North Tce.

and just now CFS CoQ's: Happy Valley to O'Halloran Hill, Stirling to Glen Osmond and Tea Tree Gully to Oakden.

Looks like TT Gully got the first COQ run,

from the sounds of it the smoke is tripping off a few alarms around the place

GRN Page sent that an agency has activated their Special Incident Room because of the major chemical fire at St Marys.

On 150 they called it as being 3rd alarm B class.
I believe the definition of class A class is quite specific as to the number of stories or the number of occupants.

3A.... belive the A to stand for alarm not the class of the building......

Well I don't know how macca intended it but as we are talking about an MFS incident, they state an alarm then class. In this case 3B not 3A, not just let 'A' stand for alarm.
But each to their own.

You would think that with all the resources tided up around the place the MFS response here wasnt warranted. Surely if this was a job in MFS area it would have only been a 1 appliance job anyway!

3A stands for third alarm IMO. just the way i abbreviate it. as u stated it was a b-class risk

Factory fire St. Mary's COQ to Prospect then respond to Brompton, almost get there and return to Prospect sit in a chair and watch the t.v. hmmmmmm only exciting if your driving!
