Hate to throw a spanner in the works... but isnt the version CFS is using red???

mengcfs

Not sure about the CFS using red, i don't think agencies can change the esign to suit their wants or needs. All the Command cars etc i have seen with the new logo have the official blue on white.
Some info i found.

QuoteEMA is responsible for the management of the Emergency Triple Zero (000) and Emergency One Zero Six (106) logos on behalf of emergency services organisations in Australia.

This role includes ensuring the proper use and protection of the logos as trade marks.

EMA is the owner of trade mark registrations for the logos in Australia and maintains a register of all authorised logo users.  Information about the logos and terms and conditions of use may be obtained from emergencylogos@ema.gov.au

Thankyou Mr Tiller..... Im sure the one on our station is red as well.... am intrigued now... will go look...

My apologies men, they are red on Command cars.
There goes the ol' CFS consistency theory. Logo blue - bugger it we're having red. Will try and find out more (geez i must be bored today)!

I have heard for emergency 000 and emergency 112 on mobile telephones, but what does Emergency 106 connect you to ?

I believe it is for SMS.

mengcfs

106 is the Australian national textphone/TTY emergency number. It is operated by the Australian Communications Exchange, a non-profit organisation that runs the National Relay Service. 106 can only be used by people with a TTY/textphone or computer with terminal software.
