Unfortunately it has happened before with other internet forums, with pressure being placed on the administrators.
If the pager message is serious, then what has upset the hierarcy ?
My personal suggestion is that if we have offended the hierarchy of SASES or CFS or MFS or SAAS, then tell us. We know people are reading the postings, but not commenting.
Some of the postings are rubbish. Some are good constructive critism which should be acknowledged has a genuine request by volunteers for more information & used for improvement (eg inter-service capabilities).
If a front-line volunteer does not get factual, direct information from hierarchy, then they will find the information via rumour lines or other means. The Internet just provides a larger, quicker way to get that information.
If someone does close down a way of finding information, then another method will pop up until the information void is filled.
