MFS: RESPOND GRASS FIRE 22/10/06 12:27,WHYALLA MFS,WHYALLA, MAP 0 0 0 ,,IRON KNOB RD 10 KM FROM
IRON KNOB ASSIST CFS,529*CFSRES:

CFS area...

whyalla have a hard enough time crewing to protect the town itself anyway, which is more of a risk than miles and miles of scrub...

unfortunately the stations are few and far between out that way

Well yeah they arent too far away but you also need to remember that Whyalla MFS's main priority is to protect the city of Whyalla.

But yes fire coverage in that area seems to very scarce so when the crunch comes Whyalla should be responded which in this case they were.

There is not much grass out there...I went through there recently and its just wide open space

Long haul back for MFS if they get a job in town

Thats why they have 4 appliances. So they have resources left in town.

They probably only sent 5214 + tanker which would only probably be a maximum of 4 crew anyway.
Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you.

its beside the point really.... it would be nice to get the closer appliances responding.

but its CFS area anyway, and to be honest MFS dont really want there guys going out of area and leaving there own assets uncovered.
