interesting how quickly COQ was needed by CFS... Were Glen Osmond at another call or are the MFS just really stretched these days? :?

2nd alarm to a 'highrise' is a large response...

Think if the primary response is 205 31 201 203 204 to a report of Commercial Fire, not only are you having to backfill those trucks with COQ, however then when the 2nd alarm was struck, you are sending a 2nd alarm compliment, still having to fill adelaide, fill the stations that went on 2nd alarm, fill the stations covering those stns, etc etc... Hence why CFS are required..

The 2nd Alarm upgrade to any confirmed response is going to pull in alot of resources, particualry CBD and being highrise.

plus.. i think they actually dispatched to two commercial fires within a relitively short period of time and had one pump commited at woodcroft...

Camo

Do they have 2 scania brontos now or was 205 diverted cos i thought i saw it get paged to the commercial fire just before the reserve bank one?

Dun know

I believe there is the current 205 (Scania), the second/backup 2015 (scania also), and the replacement/spare which i thinks on an Inter Chassis.

Camo

sorry didnt phrase that correctly....do they have 2 new scania brontos.....i forgot there other one is a scania also.  but i think you answered my question anyway....also i think im getting confused between this incident and the santos one....ignore me and my ramble

Yea no worries.

I don't believe there is a 'new' as in recent, 205 scania.

Half way down you see 205, which has been around for a while and would be classified as the most recent, - and 2015, pictured at the mitcham fire is the spare, the other scania chassis.

Nice looking unit would look good in the mount....

medevac

hmmm come to think of it blinky, would look good sitting in my brigades stnĀ

TillerMan

It's a piece of crap, it has the old boom and the old pump on it and has been about 2 years in the making in between being re-built after the chassis twisted when they first put the boom out and various other problems.

Scania_1

Have you actualy used it? Cant be that bad if it is on the run now and the 2nd one is being used to train Woodville.

strikeathird

I got a feeling with a name like TillerMan... He knows his stuff...

F.B.R.T

Tillerman might not be far from wrong according to sources I know!

Anyhow, our good old Skyjet is about to be replaced with a refurbished ex Adelaide Skyjet, so that should suit us just fine!

We look forward to it's arrival hopefully soon.
The views I express are my own, and not necessarily of the service I represent!

So will that mean you we be able to go over 80kms per hour

bit of dejavu (sp?)

pumprescue

MFS only have one new scania bronto, 2015 is the older scania.

203 is slow and heavy, they needed to spend a bit more money and get a scania telesquirt...like MFB
