PUAFIR210A Undertake hover-exit operations from helicopter

Damn that would be fun... Do you think the CFS would pay for me to do that? :P

I've never heard anything about it, but they could well do... I can't really think of anywhere in Aldgate a Chopper could safely land.. too many trees :P

Uhh... what do you mean by 'Chopper Related Equipment'? Stirlings 12 has rope rescue gear and Stirling Rescue has a stokes litter. There is the abilty to have it lifted by a chopper... Cant think why Aldgate would need anything chopper related.

Why wouldn't Aldgate want to jump out of a hovering Chopper? :P
Maybe they have Flares?

yeah, i mean flares, earmuffs, landing wands, paddles, additional training. I'm pretty sure they are, i think one of my officers told me. Yeah, i also think landing a chopper in aldgate would be interesting. I think the oval that they use for our area of the hills is mt lofty footy club. I know that when a chopper is needed around strathalbyn, they sometimes land on the polo ground if the footys on. Saves getting p*ssed off footy supporters and players when cops and ambo's show up and tell everyone to get off the oval 10 minutes into the second quarter.

Hahaha, that'd be a job I wouldn't want...  "Hey Mick, can you go tell those 300 angry drunk footy fans to lend us their oval for half an hour?"

The very first night footy match they had was cancelled due to the chopper...... lots of grumpy people im told. Thats when they decided to use the polo grounds as a second option.

Anyways.... lets hope more of these Public Safty courses are made available to us.... would be good to get all Firefighters up to Cert II at least....
