PF, i have one. It is great, very warm!! The brand Is Johnny Bobbin which is a good brand. We have the exact same jumper as part of our work uniform (not with the CFS logo of course). Along with a CFS beanie you are all set for those chilly nights at Brukunga :-D

PF_

awesome, have to get one.  How much are they?

strikeathird

I have a couple.. They are great to throw on at 3am in the middle of winter on the way to that Private Alarm...

Firefrog

A great supplier of this type of clothing is Arpajen and Co. Clothing Company...

email: arpajen@bigpond.net.au

They are clothing specialists...

As I write this I am wearing mine.  Green with Star emblem.  Very warm and comfortable.  Our brigade did an order for members last year, I think it cost about $60, or could have been $69.

oz fire

Yep, very warm have the one from Fire and Rescue Australia - nice and toasty! Great also to keep in the kit bag for those nights when you are standing around, thumb in bum, mind in neutral, waiting to be tasked!
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the ability to control it.

sweet, on my way down to Adelaide and Blackwood in a minute to order one.

probie_boy

i tried to get a job there, but i haven't heard from them

I suppose its handy for me being a 5 minute drive from home and a 2 minute walk from mums work!

PF_

give 'em a ring or something or send another resume in.

ANyone know how lonmg it takes for their stuff to come through the post?  Ordered Wednesday 2 weeks ago, said it should only be a week.

probie_boy

yeah, i only dropped the resume off there 2-3 weeks ago. oh well, i'll cry myself to sleep.

They're normally pretty quick with our orders. A few weeks ago at an RCR a tow truck ran over our eflare. We had a new one within 3 weeks.

medevac

didnt ya know ya had to be a member of Blackwood to work there???

just jokin'

PF_

If its a 5 minute drive how come ya didnt join them?

Just for the record my jacket arrived today.  :-)

probie_boy

na, a 5 minute drive to fire and rescue, not blackwood CFS. Besides, my station is about a 30 second drive. I timed it once.

PF_

Rightio

Takes me about 2 minutes to get to the station.

medevac

hah you have to be a bit closer than 5 minutes to make the trucks at blackwood...
im only about one minute from my station but it doesnt really help if ya have to wait 3-4 minutes for the rest of the crew... mind you ive never missed the first truck

Firefrog

Umm is this thread about Polar Fleece? :-D

probie_boy

you would think that wouldn't you?!?! Problem is though f/frog, if ya start a new thread up about response times it just dies. Go figure!
