just to resurect an old topic:  am spending a week in Pt Elliot early November, I see the bakery in Pt Elliot and Goolwa are both recommended here but what about a decent fish and chip shop?  (thought I'd ask the locals)

Ah so this is who I have to blame for reopening this thread and making me read through all these food and beer adverts in the middle of the night. Now I'm hungry and thirsty!!!
I say the best pasties are at Cafe on the Park in Penola (but I'm slightly biased because I do work there sometimes - but they are still the best) owned at the moment by another CFS member (Leanne - Comms)but unfortunately she has the place on the market. Bit hard to keep battling Leukaemia and running a cafe 7 days a week. Anyone want to buy a cafe???

For those that love Yiros, and its cheaper than the shop is......go to Specialty Foods at West Thebarton Rd,and they have YIROS KITS which has 1kg of meat, lamb or chicken a bottle of garlic sauce and 10 pitta bread for $20 BUCKS

Tastes sensational just add tomato, lettuce and onion
