Rural fire brigades are better...

Rural fire brigades are better, they provide services to the community even when theyre pagers go off twice a year.  They have lots of dedication but one thing they dont need is more dedication.  All rural brigades hsould be kitted out to a minimum standard.  A shed and a few spiders is all that is needed.  Maybe a few more spiders with an excess of 3 calls a year.  Boxes to stuff in PPE gear, half empty can of mortein, door that takes 20minutes to open and lights that dont work.  This is what a rural station should be like.  And with all this they still operate to the same standard than urban brigades with their fancy lights, lockers, kitchens gyms and not many spiders.

:-) :-P

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the ability to control it.

Mate - every station is SA deserves at least one full carton of pale (cold) 8-) - no one should have that right removed, rural or urban!

reminds me of a Svhweppes lemonade ad many years ago.  The MFS crew ran out of water ata  church fire so someone ran and grabed a couple of boxes of Schweppes Lemonade and they all shook up the can and extinguised the fire with that. :-P
