little fires turn deadly easily, Worcester Cold storage fire started after a candle tipped over, 6 F/F's were killed.

If strikeathird wants $5.00 for the station and the appliances for nothing i might as well throw my hat in the ring and give the salisbury brigade $20.00 for all of their radio communications gear as well throw in an extra $10 for their computer if they have one

Bit sad really when even being isnt an insentive to turn up.

Safecom really needs to look at value for money with Murray Bridge MFS if they are going to struggle to crew trucks.

Just how fast was that truck going.  Straight through the arrestor bed and into the cliff at the other end.  ouch.  An absolute nightmare for the driver.

Retained CFS - youv'e got to be joking!

The Murray Bridge CFS brigade would handle the MFS calls no worries - maybe just an upgrade to their station and another appliance - to allow them to look after the town area (to which they already often respond) and the huge rural and industrial areas around the town that they already protect!
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the ability to control it.

Thats all well and good oz, but by the sounds of the page, crewing numbers are the problem.. You can have all the fancy trucks and bling bling in the station, but without any one to respond what good will it do?

Hopefully its only a 1 off, as im guessing its not a normal problem for the Bridge ?

ride on lawn mowers are nasty things, have a mate than ran over his son with one of those, reversing, kid whos meant to be inside goes to pick up tennis ball from behind mower... d'oh. anyway, one severed toe and massive plastic surgery to knee/leg,,,, not too bad an outcome really.

Striker didnt see page - from camo's psot thought it was MFS Murray Bridge with crewing problems - unusual if it is MB CFS as hear they often have crews for the second appliance if needed!

Lets just hope for our sakes that no other CFS brigades will suffer the same fate as Salisbury has  :-(

Although there are likely signs that other brigades with diffculty of getting people to join or man appliances will start dropping like flies

Then again i could be wrong :|

YEa oz - it was MB MFS... With the CFS retained i should have explained, meant using some of the members... not turning the CFS brigade into a retained service, but maybe some of the members can go for MB MFS retained.. as yes, i also heard they have good crews..
