Hi All,

I would just like to say that the SA online pager site hit 20,388 hits today. This is over a course of 3 months. I can see that a fair amount of people are using the service, and i am guessing that the majority of people on this thread use it to get info?

I am looking at expanding the features offered by rehosting the CFS/SES/MFS filter file. Also uploading previous pager logs for about a month duration at a time?

What do people think? Any ideas?

Sorry the the downtime yesterday morning we lost the power here for 90 minutes... My UPS does not hang on this long unfortunately.

Sam

Thanks Sam!

Hmm.. If you look down the pager log , seems there was a heap of those type of messages...

Do people not realise these cost money ?

Communications systems need to be tested at times though....for me it is better to invest $$ in testing rather than an emergency page not being received.

1929014 11:30:33 06-04-06 (30) FIFTH TEST MESSAGE FROM LINK WAYVILLE / THE CAT CREPT INTO THE CRYPT, CRIED, CROUCHED, CRAPPED, AND CREPT OUT AGAIN / 1234567890ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ / abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz!@#$%^&*(()_+{}|:"?>

More appropriate test messages maybe ??  ...  and that being the fifth of group 30, thought they might have received the test by now..

Any way.. Its coming frmo Link.. not even from SES or a service?  Where is it picking this up from?

Its Link's responsibility to make sure the paging system works (I think :?), so they can test it as much as they like, as far as I'm concerned.. ;)

I believe Telstra won the contract to run the technicals & NOCC portion of the voice and data SAGRN. Link provide the technicals for GRN Paging.

I know that you can telephone Link Paging, quote a pager number and the message and this will send the message to the SAGRN pager or group of pagers.

This is used quite often by unit duty officers or officers, who are not close to a computer with the software operating.

How could this possibly be a test.....Very unprofessional! Most people would look at this message and think the last part of the message is garbled.
