MMMMMMMMMMM Do brigades really need to send out this crap at all hours of  the day????

i agree Bill so many times ya see this and messages like:-

Waaa waaa 34P and 14 responded to incident

Waaa waaa 34P and 14 on scence car off road

Waaa waaa 34P and 14 awaiting tow truck

If i was in a brigade that did this i would looooose my filtered!

but hey on the other hand maybe brigades like to have this each to their own i guess!

Come to the call then !! If your not coming turn your pager off.....soft

Darren, Volunteers are under enough pressure from work, family and other things and if they really needed to know who is mobile who has arrived or who is having a BBQ at 3am then go to the station but lets get real what are you really doing?? By the pager going off so many times for crap is it worth it?? may be that is how your brigade and others work but is it really worth it in the  end???

Lets keep in mind that UNDER SACAD this paging access for brigades was going to be removed and that if you wanted to page your brigade you had to contact MFS COMMS.. If it was not for the work of the Volunteers on the committee this was going to happen....

Not  everyone can fit on the appliance, so you get up in the middle of the night, miss the truck, get home, get woken up agin  for some BS message later.
Soft no just, not happy

Well not a single one of our members has ever complained about it, its just letting people know we are back and heading home. It also is useful for those that do go home if its a 1 truck out of area job to know they need to make that extra effort until that truck is back in area.

What I don't get is the pager messages saying "nuff nuff 24 is on its way"

"nuff nuff 24 has arrived and checking out the scene"

"nuff nuff 24 is still on scene"

"nuff nuff 24 is leaving scene"

"nuff nuff 24 is back at station"

I will say it again, if your not coming to calls then don't have your pager on!

Bill, that ban on paging is for responses. This is an info page, CAD won't be doing info pagers.

We have done this since we first got pagers....before that we did the all clear on the siren. 70 years and no complaints.....
