MFS: *CFSRES INC018 21/01/09 06:51,RESPOND RCR,MT BENSON CFS,MT BENSON MAP 0 0 0 TG229,KINGSTON TO MILLICENT RD NEAR MT BENSON,CFS STATION TRUCK ROLLOVER,ROBE19 MBEN00

this message a bit misleading as, for those who know Mt. Benson CFS station is some 20 km from Kingston to Millicent road. Should have been the Biscut Flat station. The ambos went to the right station and eventually the CFS did as well. Fortunately no serious injuries although 1 trapped for a while.

i hope i have done this correctly as it is my first post on this site.

You'd have to read the rest of the pager messages re that job...it would appear the the initial info given was incorrect - and that while the crash was near Biscuit Flat, the initial info was given as near Mt Benson......

As for the format of the message, that's a different issue.....!

No Total Fire ban in the Mt Lofty Ranges yesterday.

I'm guessing that the message relates to the call they were responded to - which sounded like a comfort fire.   Obviously different rules for a Total Fire Ban day, and Fire restrictions...

Tantanoola probably wanted to try out some different wine, sick and tired of the fine wines from Coonawarra. Watch out brigades south of Adelaide eg Blackfellows Creak, Blackfellows Caves might come up next for your wines(i know they have been paged before instead of Blackfellows Creak) :-D :-D

Not truly a pager message but couldn't think where else to put it

The Country Fire Service (CFS), Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) and SA Police (SAPOL) are asking all South Australians to be vigilant and 'Bushfire Ready' as the state braces itself for a heatwave.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast maximum temperatures of 410C over the next three days, with the mercury expected to remain above 350C until Monday.

The CFS Assistant Chief Officer Rob Sanford said everyone's assistance, especially those who live in high fire risk areas, will be essential over the next few days to keep their communities safe and prevent bushfires.

Now thats hot in any language   :-D

1909193 15:52:28 02-02-09 SIT REP TILES SHATTERED. FURTHER TO INVESTIGATION TO THE CAUSE, NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND. SES HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED & DK34P RETURNING TO STATION SHORTLY. FROM <name> CFS Dalkeith Info

Maybe the UFO went for a jumping spree on the roof....or maybe the kids just threw something large that fell to the ground that the kids grabbed & ran away....or a tree decided it had enough with the house, hit it and felt better....I prefer the UFO theory     :-D

Now off to SES SOC for another exciting evening of standby to do volunteer 'call receipt & dispatch'...have a look at BoM Severe Weather warning for Adelaide tonight....Adelaide Hills Brigades could get taskings.
