They had to pick up map books on the way.

Now, there is a question for those who suggest that SACFS will NOT take a stop from SAMFS...
To think they employed me as a drooling retard...

it was probably a case of one guy on the phone to them, and another sending the page out, simultaneosly.

Was it just a slip up with Stirling North needing to be responded instead?

More crew required for K34 asap - KANGARILLA STATION 3/9/2008 11:26:44 AM CFS Kangarilla Response

K34 mmmmm??? I think you mean incident #44 do some brigades not have alpha decoders or just not know how to use them?

Eh, No

The message meant they want more crew for their second appliance, Kangarilla 34...for an incident...I believe the first appliance had already gone to the incident (which wasn't incident 34!)

And it would appear the message was generated from Airsource at the station.

Not all brigades have "More crew required" on their alpha decoder.....

The little rectangular box in your station comms room that has buttons f1 through f8 on it and a small screen.  Those 8 buttons can  be preset to send out a certain page to yours, and or surrounding brigades

ideally now, shouldn't be responding neighboring brigades with it, just do it through Adelaide fire, helps them know why random brigades are coming online on the regional channel.

You can still use the group base buttons and then let Adelaide fire know we do it all the time and no problems.....

The only time I let Adelaide fire know anything is if I want them to page a brigade outside of my area (I know I can do on the computer and have done before but that takes time and usually when the brigades are still being paged I am still on my own) or if I want info put on the page to a particular brigade and I am just too busy to do it on the computer. Normally GO requests extra brigades and I just push the button.
