I'd say it's the first one - hopefully.....If I was in a CFS car and needed help I'd put out a page to the local brigade saying xyz brigade please contact xyz person on GRN XXX.

No chance I'd do a general call for help - never live it down

1 more thing I would like to add in reference to pager messages going public, have looked into it further after the so called "love triagle" message recipient involved the boys in blue, the boys in blue's advise was that personal details on  a site like SAFF indeed is illegal and will be looked into further.

Well one would hope that those that did the last shift and other staff at SOCC had a big piss up and said good bye to a very good system.I guess the new radio staff at MFS will not be happy if we are happy in the wee small hours as we acknowledge a page in our happy voice....To those staff at the old SOCC I thank you for your support and happy words in the wee small hours.....

Simply a test for the back up system, if you notice on the paging log today, all responses were in the standard SAMFS format, albeit using numbers for a short time until the conversion table is finished, seems everyone responded, so it must work.

Also noticed that Heysen Group have taken a stance on resource tracking and told their crews to stay on 124 until a station opens, unlike the format sent out in the FAQ saying to go to your local TG if a station is open or not. Good work, we must be the only service in the WORLD that doesn't do comms through a central communications centre.

Good to see the operators also using K codes on 124 as well hey.  :?
Treat everyone as if they are an idiot, until they prove you otherwise.

They sent Mt Gambier home and responded Naracoorte when they realised it was the Naracoorte side of Penola. Also Penola SAAS was having trouble raising a full crew so thats why Nangwarry was sent. There are only a few career SAAS stations in the SE.

naracoorte, nangwarry, millicent and mount gambier are the only staff saas in the southeast, they are looking at opening a new saas staff station in the region due to the volunteers not getting out the door.90% of the time naracoorte will go to penola/lucindale and kingston but of late they have been going north to back up keith/bordertown...
