just wondering if anyone out there is running PDW, and if so does anyone bother with adding capcodes to the filters.ini file, and if so does anyone want to swap?
I have around 1950 logged capcodes and about 1000 positive id's.  :?

yeah dont mind filling in the reports but 22 at one time?  My hand gets writers cramp after one line let alone 22 reports!

you still do it by hand hey?  we've got one person in the brigade who does that, the rest use the computer.

They do 10-15 jobs a year so probably a refurb???? But who knows maybe a new one??

What are peoples opinions on really quiet brigades getting new appliances?

Yes it is good for morale to have a brand spankin new one in the shed but is it a wasted couple hundred thousand dollars a brand newie going to a brigade that will barely use it.

Are they better off just getting hand me downs??

I remember someone saying to me the general rule of thumb was -

Brigades that attend:

0-20 - hand me down every 10 years (so roughly a 10 year old refurb and they will keep it until its 20)
20-50 - will keep there truck for the full 20 years and replaced with a newbie.
50+ - new truck every 10 years.

Now obviously this isnt set in cement but just a general guide.

All depends on what risks are in your area and what is changing in infastructure and development.

Exercise Daybreak

They have done them  before....all night exercises.  although its at an odd hour of the day its probaly the best time to get everyone together.

i remember the strath group doing one about 15 year ago when my old man was with Milang.  Apparently a lot of fun.

The first page is just responding Victor..(Even though there is the appliance code at the end of the message, it is up to the station if they want to send 2 appliances to the job)..

They have two appliances.. 711 & 719

Victor Harbor MFS did send 2 appliances to the job. The same for most MFS regional stations with multiple appliances, they will only put the appliance code for one on the message.
