Quotedropped past that woodcroft jobby... but for some reason the camera's memory card was missing!!!! D'OH!!!!!!!!
4 appliances on scene, plus group vehicle and SAPOL/SAAS, looked like the front room had gone up well....
saw MattyB standing around, but he looked kinda busy being IC

And you didn't come up and say gday - how rude. You should have stuck around we got some lunch delivered not long after that  :-)

The house fire was pretty straight forward, just a standard 'room & contents fire', around $25,000 damage.

The next call was a bit more interesting, just after leaving that job we responded to this MVA on Main South road at Morphett Vale.

Always good to be first arrival well into MFS area  :-D

There is some more pics and info on our website - http://www.mvcfs.asn.au

A helmet won't stop anything that the roof of the car won't stop...;) :P
Did I hear right that that machine fell of the back of a truck??!!

fire03rescue

If you have no room to get in the car with you helmet on it is ok to get in . Yes it is better to have your helmet if you can.
At the resent RCR comps, crews would get in the car with no helmets if space was a problem. The judges did  not mark crews down. But as soon as they were out or made space they had to have the helmets on.

mack

mmm.. all Ambos are kitted out with a helmet as standard equipment.... ive never seen one being worn though, not in metro area...

In my opinion - investigating a 'strange odour' should be responded as 1A HAZMAT, unless the odour is obviously smoke....

happended to listen into to this one and the first arriving officer stated it was a smell of something sulphide...... perhaps it should have been hazmat?

anyone got actual details?
