Probably mistyped and is supposed to be for SAPOL because it's a large male on the lawn drooling with a stomach ache after Aussie day celebrations

looks like stomach ache!?

mmm....this probably from the same person that runs out and meets you at the door of the appliance telling you that you need to "get more firetrucks......and use as many hoses as you've got - it's burning"

it took them two days to ring?
don't get me wrong, im probably the last person to stick up for the rights of a cat and all, but surely, after maybe 6 hours 12 hours 24 hours? you might think to ring if you couldnt do the rescue yourself?
Squirt the owner i say...

First page we rang the homeowner and advised her to remove her dogs from the area and call RSPCA if still up the tree the next day. So she calls SES the next day instead. The cat was out of ladder reach so it was a matter of climbing up the tree and cutting the branch the cat was on - With homeowners approval. Kitty feel about 7-10m, landed on its feet and was last seen running into a drain

surely when you join an organisation like the CFS you are doing agree to undertake the job as a whole?? if your willing to pick an choose which jobs you attend then maybe the CFS isn't for you. At least then the brigade's would know your not going to turn up BEFORE the jobs roll in............. :|

Further i bit my tounge while the black tuesday coroners case was on.......now's it over....why is it that people feel that the title of "volunteer" infront of their title of fire fighter makes them immune from all accountability?? The CFS tendered a defence in court. It was challenged through due process. The CFS amongst others were found to be fault. Surely the organisation would earn much more public support by standing up and saying yes we stuffed up we're sorry........

hasn't CFS taken responsibility for the mistakes made by CFS
keep in mind that it was also a nightmare trying to get more crew to the EP everything is so spread out over there i was over there and i worked hard just like every body else. the locals should be given a pat on the back for what they were put through.

also through investigation after the inquest findings were published that the coroner was not entirely correct in some statements. somethings said did not line up with what is  known by federal organizations so it goes to show you don't believe what is always found in court.

But did people sign up for every activity that the brigade is asked to be part of, regardless of whether it is CFS related?

I can understand people getting annoyed at members who pick & chose which emergency calls they attend, but is it the same for all the extra (dare I say) "non -core CFS business" ?
