Is anyone able to clarify what was mentioned in earlier posts about who goes through to the interview stage. So if you pass the PAT1 l, Do they take X amount of people based on the written tests through to interview, or does everyone who passes PAT1 go through to an interview? Cheers

Phil.Collins99

I like your thinking optimistic , we will go for a run when we get the the invites

tempcitz

Im hoping having a last name late in the alphabet is why i haven't got mine yet,  same as my delayed aptitude invite!

RCG

Question for people that got invited to contest the PAT1, what date did you sit the aptitude and profiling tests?

sj000

Sat mine on the 20th of August and surname is near the end of the alphabet

tempcitz

Well here's hoping there's more to come

Phil.Collins99

tempcitz

They usually come through between 4-6pm I've found

I sat my test on the 20th also. My last name is towards the last 1/2 of the alphabet as well.
My email for PAT 1 came through at about 4:30 on Friday. Good luck to everyone waiting.
No news is good news!

What's everyone's thoughts for those that haven't received anything yet.....

Mr Bender

Thanks for coming, better luck next time!

2beus

There either doing 2 things
Spacing out the pat 1s via sending emails each Friday of the week.
Until they reach there max say 150-200 then send out keep fit or unsuccessful emails.

Or they have sent them
All out and we will receive the other emails later this week, that's just my thoughts but in saying that a friend got a pat1 email last Friday and is adamant he bombed the test so who knows.
What's ur thoughts

Mr Bender

Congratulations to those who have received emails for the beep test, those that got the emails - are you able to shed any light on how you answered alot of your questions on the personality profiling part of the testing?
Thanks in advance.

Danglobe8

I would think that if they are only taking 200 through to PAT1 then surely if they run groups of 10 in each beep test session then they would be finished PAT1 within 1 week....
As far as I'm aware everyone who has received an email is doing the beep test this Friday...and not the week after?

Left foot snap

If you haven't received a PAT 1 invite yet, you will not receive one until more numbers are required to fill squads. The first three squads of the last intake were made up of the first 240 been tested. All the invitations to contest each stage are sent out at the same time and are not sorted alphabetically or by date.

PAT1 testing will be knocked out in a day and a half if that. They test 32 people per timespot. 6 timeslots a day.

As long as you've not been told NO, your still in the mix.

2beus

So if they sent out invites already. When would ppl start receiving no
Emails then? Or would they have already been sent

Danglobe8

That's pretty good odds if you made it to PAT1...goodluck to all.
Has anyone heard if MFS are going to go down the lateral path?

Not immediately I wouldn't have thought. The focus would be on getting people through to the PAT2 stage ready for a squad to start next year.

2beus

Yeah that's true, but I guess atleast informing ppl straight away would be good instead of leaving them wondering.

Last time I received it very early about a week or 2 after testing

Starting to believe if you screw up one personality test your screwed forever as they just compare your old ones and if there different its a red flag straight away which is so frustrating. This has been my 3rd personality test since leaving the Military as a firey and honestly thought i would have a decent chance of getting in but this profiling system designed by Hr psycologists is rubbish. Just wish there was something else im sure there alot of people in the same situation being Cfs or volunteers with plenty of experience who just cant get past it either. anyways end of rant sorry just had to get it off my chest, goodluck to everyone who gets through

sj000

I wouldn't get too disheartened Phil.Collins99
I thought I did well in the 2016 testing, but received the email saying they believed I tried to manipulate the test and couldn't apply again for a few years. I was pretty devastated with that too
But I've been susscessful this time round, so it is possible
