Like Canine said I wouldn't give too much credence to any of the potential dates they have given. They tend to do things in their own time so try not to stress yourself.

Last time they gave a weeks notice for PAT 1. So probably another couple of weeks.

Yeah the waiting game is underway. We will hear something when we hear something.
Meanwhile, training for PAT 1 is still in full swing!

Has anyone heard anything after the profiling assessment? I sat for the tests on the 16th of August 2018.

I believe the last group of testing was done on monday so if that's the case then 1-2weeks to result and rank all applicants.
Does anyone know if they move everyone who passes the personality and abilities test on PAT 1 or do they use a ranking system and take say the top 500 scores?

I believe last time it was a top 200 but don't quote me on that.

Top 200...would there be 2000 applicants or more? Makes it very tough, goodluck to all that applied!

Over 2200 applicants this time around according to the SAMFS website.

They will take everyone who is deemed suitable through to the pat1, will be a lot more than 200. They will then select those who to interview based on the results of personality and abilities. Well this is what happened last time I think

From what I understand (what was said at the SAMFS seminar), the top 150 candidates out of the Personality Profiling will progress to the PAT1.
They will only take more people as numbers require.
